Muriel, Cleo and Erica, our chickens. Erica (above) is posing for you!
I've had a frantically busy busy busy weekend, with Eden's cheerleading competition yesterday, and today I was at a chicken keeping course, and brought home our new girls.

They are settling in to their new home.
They are not quite ready to lay, but will be soon. I'm very fond of them already, I think we all are.
I am blue-green (like agave ;) with envy. No really, I want chickens SOOOOO badly!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! We are in the midst of building a coop as well, there is just something so wonderful about having chickens around and the eggs are a huge bonus. well done on the house too!

Yay, chooks! We have such a small space outside, but we're still pretty sure we'll get a couple eventually.

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to keep chickens, bet you can't wait to get some eggs :D I love how they are different colours.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteYay! Chickens, I remember you saying on NM's you were going to get some. And while the chickens are lovely I am simply head over heels in love with their house - I want to live in there!
ReplyDeleteI bet you all can't wait for your first egg, just don't boil it - fresh eggs are a nightmare to peel!
