How to make a baby even more snuggly!

3:51 pm

Having had a break from sewing while I gave birth to my fourth child,Sidney Indigo ,I finally got back to my machines, and it feels great!
Today I finished a snuggly winter wrap for Sid in gorgeous soft Minkee, and lined with cotton stretch terry.
The pattern is from Ottobre,Fall 2003.I've made this before for a friends baby, and it's such a simple design, but perfect for an extra lightweight layer on a young baby, especially one carried in a sling as often as Sid.
I made it in a size 74 as Sid is very long, but looking at the finished item,I wish I'd lengthened the body a little.I also used poppers instead of velcro fastening.
