New Baby Gift

My latest make is a baby kimono in soft Amy Butler flannel. I used the kimono pattern from Kwik Sew Sewing for Babies book, but extented the right side for an overlap.
I cut bias binding from a contrast Amy Butler flannel, and also used that to make the front ties.
I even remembered to add a label on the back.
Pretty pleased with the results, though the bias binding did give me a bit of a headache.
I just hope the recipient is pleased with it too.

Busy but not really happy.

Been really busy lately, mostly making birthday gifts for my childrens friends.Today though I decided to make myself a fleece poncho to fit over me and Sid when he's in his sling.
I used a Kwik Sew pattern (2826),a simple pattern with a zip front,as I mostly wear Sid on my front while he's so small. If I start wearing him on my back I'll have to create an opening on the back of the poncho. Though I might just make another one.
I'm not terribly happy with the finished item,I managed to get the collar uneven, and I know that's going to bother me even if no one else ever notices.

Amy Butler Wrap Skirt

I made this skirt for me,using three different Amy Butler fabrics,(the ginger bliss range)and a mock suede eyelet trim.
I guess it's probably not to everyones taste, but I like it and plan to wear it with knee high boots and a sweater/long sleeved t shirt.....I just wont wear it and use my changing bag at the same time LOL!!
Being a simple wrap it will fit me now with my post baby belly and will shrink with me too...that's presuming I do shrink!
