Learn To Sew

7:52 pm

There are so many ways to learn to sew, I was taught at school and have an old fashioned O level and A level in Needlework and Dress. Many people are self taught these days, blogs and You Tube can be fabulous for picking up tricks and tips. There are websites like Craftsy too, who offer free classes and paid for classes all online. Sometimes though what you really need is a face to face experience, there are several businesses around the UK who run regular workshops and classes, and more springing up all the time as demand grows.

I teach classes at Ministry of Craft in Manchester, a lively, friendly venue with loads of different classes on offer, from beginners right through to the more experienced.

You'll also catch me hosting the crafting hen parties!

From September 2015 I will also begin offering one to one sewing lessons from my home in Stockport, Greater Manchester. Whatever level you are at, complete beginner, advanced beginner, or wanting to develop your skills, together we can come up with a plan perfect for you.

Lessons will run Mondays-Fridays 10-2.30 depending on availability. This includes a half hour lunch break, I'll obviously provide plenty of tea and biscuits!!

Cost will be £45 per day, blocks of 10 lessons booked and payed for in advance will be £400

Anyone interested please email me and we can discuss dates and your personal tutoring plan.

Don't be shy, say hello!
