I finished this kimono late yesterday afternoon, a gift for my friend Heather, whose birthday was back in at the beginning of December, so it's not quite three months late.
Fabric is from Ikea, pattern is made up as I went along. Satin bias binding is from stash.
I hope she likes it.

Oh Jeanette, its beautiful I am sure she will like it. I assume she doesn't read the blog lol (the lady you made the wedding dress for yes?).

She reads, I think, or maybe she doesn't. She doesn't need to read, we talk all the time.
ReplyDeleteThe kimono is not a surprise though, so seeing it here wont spoil things. :0)
I'm sure she will love it!
ReplyDelete3 months late isn't too bad, my brother-in-law waited over 6 months for his birthday present that I made!
That kimono is gorgeous. Plus a late present is twice as exciting. Almost like an unexpected present!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is beautiful!
ReplyDeletegorgeous, hope you are not missing your children too much today x
ReplyDeleteHi, I love to hear from readers, hate to think I'm talking to myself here, so don't be shy say hello!
