Kimono (a three month late birthday present)

I finished this kimono late yesterday afternoon, a gift for my friend Heather, whose birthday was back in at the beginning of December, so it's not quite three months late.
Fabric is from Ikea, pattern is made up as I went along. Satin bias binding is from stash.
I hope she likes it.

She reads, I think, or maybe she doesn't. She doesn't need to read, we talk all the time.

ReplyDelete3 months late isn't too bad, my brother-in-law waited over 6 months for his birthday present that I made!
That kimono is gorgeous. Plus a late present is twice as exciting. Almost like an unexpected present!
