Little Quilt
3:00 pm I'm not sure this even qualifies as a quilt, it's patchwork for sure but it's not quilted exactly.
I ran it up today from the cloud 9 scraps, in an attempt to keep occupied. I'm quite pleased with the results.
I haven't made a quilt since around this time last year. The timelines from last year to this are poignant, but often unavoidable.
Last year's quilt is wrapped around Florence. I hope this years quilt gets worn out with love and snuggles from our baby boy.

It's beautiful. I think it will hold up well and provide lots of love and comfort. Thinking of you in the days and time markers ahead.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely gorgeous. Love it very much.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you a lot xxx
You made this in ONE DAY? It would take me about a year to make anything like this. Lucky baby to have this to snuggle up to.
ReplyDeleteOh it's so beautiful, Jeanette. I truly hope that little boy will get lots of warmth and comfort from this.

ReplyDeleteMuch Love, Jeanette, for you and Florence and Baby Boy XXX and belated birthday wishes!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, that was my comment above (Emma's daddy). I was logged in as my DH. Sorry 'bout that.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty, I love the freshness of the colours.
ReplyDeleteIt is a strange thing, to have two babies so close together when one is not here. You can't help but look back to the pregnancy before and wonder "how did this happen, how did I get here".
ReplyDeleteI keep saying it, but you are so clever. The quilt is lovely. Can't wait to see baby boy all snuggly in it.
A recent article in the paper and the quilt exhibition at the V&A have had me thinking about quilts a lot recently - the time and love that go into them, the reasons they are made, the people they celebrate, the descriptive names they are given - all different and all beautiful and amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt is most definitely a quilt and a gorgeous one too!!
ReplyDeleteHope you and little one are doing ok, thinking of you as it can't be easy for any of you.
Love and hugs
San xx
