A hat!
OK, so it's not going to fit for long, but honestly I'm done with this one. My first attempt was waaaay too small, my second I messed up on the decreases, and finally this is complete (with mistakes), but I'm sooo ready to start something else that I'm going to live with the imperfections, even though I know they will drive me bonkers!

Made using this pattern.

I also finished some dribble bibs. I've always scoffed at this style of bib,but I've never had such a drooly baby before, and apparently this style works well.

Dribble Bib

  2. that bonnnet is so sweet, I wonder if knitting the 1 year old size in dk would fit a 2 year old?

  3. I used dk and knit the 1 year size, and as you can see it just fits Ernest at 6 mths.I don't think he has a particulary big head.

  15. Looks lovely! I make bandana bibs and think they are great for drooly babies. I think a lot of people don't get them till they have a drooly baby. They are thin and so dry easily when washed and look cool. Well.. apart from people that manufacture them thick to soak up more.

  19. Vanessa, the cardigan is actually a sleepsuit that was bought for Ernest by a friend, I love it too.
Grace, love the idea of folded muslins with ric rac, I have a ton of muslins here, might nicj that idea if you don't mind?
Clare, you could always use snaps if buttonholes are too much.
