A typical day in our summer
6:47 pm We started the day early. Woody had made brioche for breakfast, and India had made flapjacks that hadn't set. She hadn't used enough syrup.
So we crumbled the non set flapjacks onto a baking tray, added raisins, dates and almonds and baked in the oven, for home made granola.
Delicious sprinked generously over greek yoghurt.
We had a house full of children today, my friend Lisa came over with her four children, and while they ate lunch we stood back and admired the fruit of our wombs!!
(There's no room at the table for us too, we have to wait for our lunch.)
Later, Ernest found the food waste recycling tub, and had fun pulling apart the tea bags...it could've been worse I suppose.
I'm amazed how quickly he can cause so much havoc.

yes, havoc here too, there is something wonderful about baby mess though. I still remember looking at the house after Henry died and wishing there was more mess around, more children. You look like you are having a lovely summer. love to you all! xo
ReplyDeleteYes, it's hard to get cross at a bit of mess, when we know how hard it is to be without the mess.
ReplyDeleteI think Ernest is in danger of being indulged. x
Beautiful old table!
ReplyDeleteDid you and your friend actually manage a quiet mother's lunch once the masses had left the table?!
ReplyDeleteI bet Ernest enjoyed all the attention and you can't get cross at such loveliness can you?

Tobias creates havoc very quickly as well. But even faster he gets into trouble and climbs up things that scare the living daylights out of me. He's far worse than Brynn ever was. I think. I love that you had so many around your dining table. I long for B to have loads of friends.
ReplyDeleteAww but he is so cute though. S'cuse me your friend brought her 4 children over, that would have been MAD in your house lol No wonder you have no time for crafting, it looks like the Walton's over there. Fabulous. If I were closer I would be round for lunch too lol.

Looks like a full house.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask because I am a huge fan of expensive high chairs, does Ernest have a purple Tri.pp Tra.pp?
Car, yes he does, present from his grandparents. x
